Q.The product catalogue states that wires in Elastomet/Elastofam are chemically bonded to the Elastomer. How is this accomplished?
A. The bonding of wires to the rubber is a proprietary process.
Q. What are the advantages or disadvantages of pressure sensitive adhesive on (PSA) on Elastomet/Elastofoam material?
A. PSA is not recommended for Elastofoam but customers do, nevertheless, order it. Elastomer uses a heavier a wire and since it is solid, it exerts a greater force which permits the wire ends to penetrate the PSA coating.
Q. What is the percent of deflection of Elastomet and Elastofoam?
A. The percent of deflection for Elastomet is 5% - 15%
The percent of deflection for Elastofoam is 10% - 30%
Q. Is Elastofoam available with pressure sensitive adhesive?
A. No, Elastofoam is not available pressure sensitive adhesive
